Abstract:
This research focuses on establishing the interrelationship of texts in Kiswahili literature which touches on allusion, pastiche and parody in interpretation of Kiswahili literature. The selected texts which facilitated this study are Fumo Liyongo(1950), Kifo Kisimani(2001) and Mstahiki Meya(2009). The objective of this reseach was to demonstrate pastiche, parody and allusion in characterization, plot and thematic structure. The study also aimed at examining the impact pastiche, parody and allusion has on interpretation of literature works. as well as guiding on the new information which can be extracted from these texts when analysed on the basis of the selected parts of intertextuality. The study was guided by the following research questions: How is allusion in the selected texts portrayed? How are pastiche and parody illustrated at the level of characterization, thematic structure and plot in the selected texts? How does pastiche, parody and allusion hhelp in extracting new information when these texts are analysed according to intertextuality theory?. the research was interpretative in nature. it entailed carefully studying the selected texts and analysing them against the selected theory. the findings of the study indicate that pastiche, parody and allusion are clearly illustrated in the three above-mentioned texts in the characterization, plot, and thematically. With regard to theselected texts there is close inter-relationships between literature works which aims at complementing and enhancing previous works. It has given a basis on the use of the selected theory to guide interpretation and creation of more thrilling and up to date literature works but being guided on already existing texts. The research has illustrated a clear path towards achieving a democratic society in Africa from the lessons drawn from the selected texts. The selected theory has guided the study to achieve the set objectives. Recommendations have also been made concerning other areas related to intertextuality which need to be researched on. This is because intertextuality is a wide scope which can be used to interprete different literature texts at different levels to make it more explicit.

Utafiti huu umechunguza hali ya kuingiliana na kujalizana kwa kuathiriana, kuiga na kurudufiana ili kujalizana katika kufasili fasihi. Mwingiliano huu umejikita katika vipengee vitatu vya mwingilianomatini ambavyo ni uigaji, urudufiano na uathiriano kama vipengee vya mwingiliano matini. Tungo ambazo zimeteuliwa ni Fumo Liyongo(1950), Kifo Kisimani(2001) na Mstahiki Meya(2009). Mwingilianomatini huu ulilenga uigaji, urudufiano na uathiriano kama vipengele vya mwingilianomatini. Madhumuni ya utafiti huu ni kubainisha jinsi vipengele vya mwingilianomatini vinachangia katika kuendeleza, kufasiri na kukuza kazi za fasihi. Maswali yaliyoongoza utafiti huu ni: Je, kuna uathiriano katika Fumo Liyongo, Kifo Kisimani na Mstahiki Meya? Urudufiano unajitokezaje katika vipengele vya uhusika, msuko na maudhui? Mwandishi alitumia uigaji vipi kuendeleza fasihi ya Kiswahili? Utafiti uliongozwa na nadharia ya mwingilianomatini. Utafiti huu ulikuwa ni wa kiuthamano. Ulihusu kusoma tungo hizo kwa kina na kuzichambua kwa misingi ya nadharia ya mwingilianomatini. Vipengee vitatu vya mwingilianomatini vilitumika kutathmini kazi teule . Mbinu ya ufasiri na uchanganuzi wa yaliyomo ilitumiwa. Mtafiti alichambua uathiriano, urudufu na uigaji katika kiwango cha msuko, uhusika na maudhui. Kutokana na utafiti huu, imebainika wazi kuwa utendi wa Fumo Liyongo, tamthilia ya Kifo Kisimani na Mstahiki Meya zinaingiliana katika vipengele vya msuko, uhusika na maudhui. Mwingilianomatini huu unadhihirika wazi kama vile umejadiliwa kwa misingi ya nadharia ya mwingilianomatini. Mfumo wa mwingilianomatini huu unajengeka kutoka kiwango kimoja hadi kiwango kingine. Hali hii ya ujengano inazua wazi kuwa kazi za kifasihi hutokea kama mwangwi wa kazi za awali ambazo huweka msingi wa kazi hizo kwa njia mwafaka. Mtafiti aligundua kwamba, kazi hizi zimejengana. Ilhali kila kazi ina nafasi yake mahususi katika jamii, zinakubaliana kuendeleza maudhui mwafaka katika jamii inayokua na kuendelea kiuchumi na kisiasa. Inakisiwa kuwa wasomi wa kazi hizi watafaidika kwa masuala ya urudufiano, uigaji na uathiriano kama inavyojitokeza katika tungo hizi. Waandishi watapata mwanga wa jinsi wanavyoweza kujenga kazi zao kwa misingi ya kazi ambazo zimetungwa awali ili kufanikisha kazi zao zaidi. Hatimaye, mapendekezo kuwa kuna haja ya mwanda wa mwingilianomatini kuchunguza katika sehemu zingine za fasihi andishi na simulizi.
